Déjà vu
So, there I am this morning, making my way in to work. I was just getting out of the neighborhood, and onto one of the main roads, when this vaguely familiar car pulls into the left lane beside me.
Didn’t pay it too much attention.
Then, it pulls ahead of me, and I see a somewhat familiar looking bumper sticker. Hmm..wait a minute! What kind of car was that? So, I catch up to the car, look at it closely, and discover that it is:
- A black Ford Focus
- The doors say “Sony”, not “Ford”
- It has the little scoop thingy on the trunk
- The drivers side doors are a little “rumpled” (not my fault, someone hit TOH when he was driving it one day)
- There are the remains of an “Uninvited” bumper sticker on the right side of the trunk
That was my old car! My car, which TOH sold to a co-worker in 2005, and the co-worker then sold it to someone else, etc. But there it was, in the lane next to me.
So I called TOH. “You’ll never guess what car is driving in the lane next to me!”
The poor guy driving the car probably thought I was crazy, since I ended up behind him for several miles while driving up I-95, and I was smiling the whole way. I miss that car. And I’m glad to see it still “living” and moving along.
It was a good way to start my day. Let’s hope the rest of it goes ok.
