A Note…
So, I’ve said before that it’s amazing how much information is available to me about visitors to my blog. Well, it also shows how quickly the family grapevine works.
Talk to “family member A” on the phone, and within 24 hours, “family member B” has made a visit to the blog. But ”family member B” has never bothered to comment on the blog. (Or for that matter, talk to me in any way, shape or form!) So why bother to read it?
For instance, I can tell when my sister visits here, and while she may not comment directly on the blog, she does let me know she’s reading it when we talk about other things.
This isn’t to say I don’t want people reading my blog. I’m all for wide readership. In fact, I was thinking of rejoining some blog rings to expose my knitting and sewing stuff to a wider audience. Usually, though, when people find you through common interests, they tend to comment on those things that brought them to your blog in the first place.
So when a family member has shown absolutely zero interest in my life otherwise, why would they bother to frequently read my blog? I guess I just don’t understand that sort of mindset.
But, the nice thing about controlling my own domain is that if I really get fed up with it, I can block them from my site.
In knitting news, I finished all the pieces of my Greenwich cardigan. Now I need to block it to shape and then sew the pieces together. While I’m procrastinating on that, I’ve picked up the “In Love With Lace” scarf in the cashmere/silk blend yarn. I’m probably about 50% done with that one.
Tonight, TOH and I are off to the Birchmere after dinner to see Colin Hay. I’ll probably post a review tomorrow.
