I Don’t Like Mondays…
So, it’s Monday, and I really want to just go back to bed. But, I didn’t, and I’m here at the office, being a good government wage slave.
The weekend was good. I got a couple of naps in on Saturday, and yesterday our friend Shadow came down to visit. She’s attending the Wicked Winter Renaissance Faire in February, and has asked me to create a dress for her. She already has a corset and a mask, and found fabric to match. So, she came down for the afternoon, and we discussed options, took measurements and then went out to Sunday Blunder (breakfast/lunch/dinner).
I’ve traced out the pattern of the dress she wants to create, and tonight, I’ll start cutting out a first mock-up. I want to make sure I’ve got the pieces right before I cut into her fabric.

One of the things I do fairly regularly is read my hometown newspaper. Today I happened to notice an article on the county’s Grand Jury indictments. I can remember reading these when I was in high school, and the vast majority were about drunk driving. This most recent article has 35 indictments, and of those 28 were for “controlled substance” violations. That’s 80% of the indictments! I don’t know if it’s more drug prevalence, or better “enforcement”. Either way, it’s a pretty shameful statistic.

My personal life is again somewhat stressful. I’ve recently been told (indirectly, of course) that I am the root of all evil and to blame for just about everything. Well, that’s news to me. If I’d known I was so influential, I wouldn’t have married TOH - I’d have gone for someone with money and power, and I’d be ruling the world by now.
That vacation of ours can’t get here soon enough.
