I don’t know how I managed without it…
Without my serger, that is. I’ve discovered narrow rolled hems on it, and they look fantastic! I finished all the edges of my chemise for my Faire gown, and it went by in a flash. I’m really enjoying this machine. If pressed, I can do a shirt in an evening. While I’ll be sad when Faire is over for the season, on the other hand, it will give me time to sew all the stuff I’ve got on my “to-do” list. I have fabric for at least 4 work suits for myself. Not to mention Klumpen’s curtains, the cushions for the dining room chairs, curtains for the living room and library, etc.
In knitting news, I’m quite peeved at a vendor. I ordered two circular needles from a company back on 9/19. I received a confirmation email from them, stating they’d “email me when my order shipped”. Well, here it is, nearly a month later, and I’ve still not seen a shipping email. So on Tuesday, I emailed the company, trying to get a status on my order. No response. There is no phone number on their website, and a yellow page search turns up a number that does not work. The good news is that they have not charged my credit card, which would be illegal on their part. But, I still don’t have the needles I need, and the lack of communication really ticks me off.
Anyway, that’s about it. Pictures to come eventually. Faire pix are up at the picture site for those so inclined.
