Huh, that’s weird.
So, a month later and I’m just getting around to posting again? It doesn’t feel like a month.
I’m still not sleeping, so I’m walking around in a fog a lot lately. My neurologist has changed my meds, so hopefully that’ll help soon. But, in case anyone still reads this, I’ll throw out the recent developments at Stupid Big House.
Klumpen is now 16. That’s a biggie. I’m not ready for my baby to be 16. God, I’ll be a wreck when TSM turns 16, I’m sure. Anyway, Klumpen and I had a nice day shopping, we all went out to dinner, we made a cake, etc. Simple and low key.
There’s a giant (well, not really, but pretty big) turtle living in our back yard now. It has a spiked tail and huge claws and freaks out the dog. I think it got in under the gate and now can’t figure out how to get back out. We’ll see.
The dog had her birthday, and three of the cats had theirs. We didn’t do anything for them, though.
I’m still looking for a new job. I’ve made the short list on one, but that’s as much as I’ve heard. It’s really hard to concentrate on anything when I’m so freaking tired.
My song collection on my laptop is up over 15,000 now. Exciting, huh?
Oh, I did finish TSM’s new faire garb. He needed a new shirt and pants. Peasant wear is easy for him. I bought the book The Tudor Tailor and have started the petticoat for myself. I’ve sized up the pattern, made a muslin mock-up and am now ready to cut the actual fabric. I’m using a red linen. Red seems to be the petticoat color of choice for the 16th century. I also need to finish my chemise/camica. I probably need to decide what country I’m doing, as well. I’ve been waffling back and forth between English and Italian. I also need to make my own pirate coat, and a new corset/bodice type thingy. I need to find a really cool embroidery design to use in the triangular gores of the coat.
But, what I really want to do is sleep. A lot.
