May Day!
I can’t decide if I’m using that as a distress signal or simple statement of fact.
Work sucks. It has sucked for over a year now, and it will continue to suck until I get a new job. Which doesn’t seem to be happening any time soon.
I’m not sleeping again. I went back to my neurologist last week, and we’ve increased my medications, but I don’t think that’s helping so far. Tonight I start on an even higher dosage, and if that doesn’t work, he’s considering re-doing the tests. Yay.
The good news (?) is that I no longer have to sew Klumpen’s prom dress this year. I tried three mock-ups, and just couldn’t get the thing to fit her right. She just has the wrong shape for the dress she picked out. So, we hit the mall yesterday, and she found a lovely chocolate brown (with hints of reddish undertones) swirly-girly dress and kicky shoes. My alterations skills just weren’t up to par on fixing this dress for her.
So, I think my next sewing project is TOH’s shirt of shirts. I found a really cool Hawaiian print fabric that is printed with Hawaiian shirts. That’s going to be an easy project, something I can work on without the huge frustration factor that I’ve been having with all my other projects lately.
Otherwise, nothing exciting has been happening.
