Hoo, Boy!
There’s a reason we stopped having children after TSM. We had the Captain and his mini crew down yesterday, as well as our favorite Pigeon and the lovely Gloria, and I’m just exhausted. The mini crew tire me out beyond belief. Apparently I was a mini magnet yesterday. I found myself on the love seat with all three of them attached more than once. They helped decorate the tree, and it now has a lovely “scarf” of all the unbreakable ornaments residing at about knee-height. I’m half tempted to leave it as is, and fill in the remainder with the breakables.
I made lasagna, and there is less than 1/3 of the pan left, so I’m taking that as a compliment. Klumpen made cookies, and there are very few of those left as well.
Today, TOH dropped my car off to finally get it repaired. I’m not sure when I get it back, but when I do, it will no longer have that nasty crumple on the back end. Yay!
Friday night, Klumpen and I stayed up talking until about 2:00 a.m. It was good. I feel a lot better now that we’re talking again. Of course, we spent quite a bit of the time laughing, so that’s a bonus. We talked about Van Helsing, which was a waste of two hours I’m never getting back; boys; school; Christmas; and whatever else turned up in the conversation. I t’s really hard to recap something that wandered so far.
I had the photo albums out, showing our pictures of Heidelberg and Venice to Pigeon, and Klumpen looked through them at my old pictures and has declared that I “was hot”. Notice the past tense. I guess that means I’m chopped liver now? ;-P
There really is no point to this entry. My boss is in Boston today, so that leaves only 4 days this week for her to tell me whether or not I get my job back. It’s hard to concentrate on anything with this hanging over my head.
I finished a pair of socks yesterday. I’ve only been working on them for a year or so. They’re Regia Nation stripes in the 5397 colorway, which is black/red/yellow.
