So.

Can someone please pass me the rewind button?  This week has not been pretty.

Monday, TOH was on his way from one Healthcare Conglomerate site to another when he was hit by a 73 year old red light runner going through an intersection.  He is fine.  His car (you know, the one he got in March) is not.  I’ll have to post some pix of it later.  We spent 6 hours in the ER Monday evening, which did nothing but piss me off.  There seems to be a lot of wasted energy there.  I would think you’d want to get people treated and out the door (to wherever - either home or admitted) as soon as possible.  The last hour or so was spent waiting for the doctor to sign the release papers.  I’ve been having more back problems, and sitting in the cold room, hunched up on the bed with him locked every muscle in my body.  I felt miserable by the time we left there.

Tuesday, I stayed home from the job here at MSGA so TOH could use my car to do his running around to the doctor’s, the lawyer’s, etc.  I actually caught up on sleep, so that was a benefit.  But all the garbage that led to my day of rest sucked.

Wednesday, back at work, I find that they’ve cancelled the announcement for my Budget Analyst position.  Which means that they weren’t happy with the pool of qualified candidates.  Which I’m guessing means me.  So, here I am, still stuck in limbo.  Last week, I told my boss that I wasn’t happy.  That all I do is budget work, but I’m not officially the budget analyst, and I get no respect.  I got sympathetic “yeah, yeah” sounds, but not much else.  I told her that I’m basically doing two jobs, and that I’ve got a job description for neither.  Again with the “yeah, yeah” noises.  I am so frustrated.

On the good news front, I got word from my friend that her new daughter was born last week, and all is well with their family.

Today, though, isn’t too bad.  It’s on the down slope to the weekend, and I’m looking forward to that.  The Lovely Danicia, who works with Wolgemut, posted this in her LJ.  I think my CD collection is calling out for the new Wolgemut CD…   (EDIT:  Link lost.)

This morning, I put the linen yardage in the wash, and Klumpen is tossing it in the dryer for me, so when I get home, I can start on that remake of my smock.  I think I also want to make the skirt of the plaid dress a wee bit shorter.  I may also make an underskirt out of a lightweight wool remnant (I got it for $2.00 a yard, and there’s more than enough for a skirt) for later in the season.  This weekend’s weather is supposed to be lovely.

And with that, I see it’s time to get my act together and get back to work.  Doing that job that isn’t really mine.
