Bah.
So, Blogrolling’s Migration was successful? I don’t think so. Take a look over on the left there, and you’ll see how successful it really is. And like many people, I use my blogroll as a bookmark for people I read. I don’t have them bookmarked anywhere else. Of course, I’ll have to change that if this crap keeps up. EDIT: I had to take the code off, because it was overlapping onto the center column, and I couldn’t read the final paragraph.
Speaking of crap, I’m still having issues here on my new space. I need to fix a few things, but overall most links and such work the way they’re supposed to, I think. If you find something screwy, let me know. I think it’s from moving my old information into the new space improperly.
Speaking of screwy migrations as well, our agency upgraded us all to Microsoft Office 2003, and now half of my Word documents are formatted all wonky. WTF is it today?
Catching up on life, last Saturday (yes, that day) was TSM’s 8th birthday. I am still not ready for my baby to be 8 years old. We kept things low key, more because TOH was sick than because of the date, but we’re doing the evil Chuck E. Cheese thing tomorrow for him. And amazingly, he only wanted to invite 5 people. In past years, he’s wanted to invite his entire class, and 1/2 the neighborhood.
My poor kids and their ill-timed birthdays. TSM’s near Labor Day, and Klumpen’s near Memorial Day. It’s hard to schedule parties for them because of it. Yesterday was my stepson’s 20th birthday. I called him a couple of times to wish him a happy one, but he’s never near his cell phone. So, we left messages for him. The older he gets, the more I like him. And, the Navy really seems to be the thing he needed to jump start his life. We’re actually quite proud of him.
Mein Klupmen and I finished her pirate coat last night. And, to brag, it looks fantastic!
I think I might top stitch the cuffs so that they stay folded back, but otherwise, I am pleased with it. And, of course, she adores it. She’s cursing Ivan and the rain he’s bringing for the weekend, and hoping we can at least salvage one day to go to Faire. Right now, it looks like Sunday should be safe. In the meantime, she’s a bit giddy from her afternoon at drama club yesterday. I’m not surprised she fit right in there.
We’re both loving the new machine. Klumpen’s already thinking about embroidered bookmarks as gifts for friends. And trying to decide which edging will look best on each piece of my garb. And wanting to sew shamrocks onto each piece of clothing she owns. And the list goes on.
I’m trying to not talk about the house, because it just pisses me off more than anything right now. We’ve had traffic nearly every weekend since we put it on the market, but not one single offer. All our Spanish Language brochures keep disappearing, but not the English versions. Either we’ve had a lot of Spanish speaking drive-bys, or the neighbors are trying to discourage that. All but two of the houses in the neighborhood we’ve been wanting are gone. And the two that are left are ones we weren’t all that interested in to begin with. Again Bah.
So, that’s all the news that’s fit to blog, or some such b.s.
