Hey, lookie here!

Whoa.  I seem to have finally imported everything from the old space to here!  Imagine that.

So, fellow bloggers forgive me, it’s been two weeks since my last blog entry.  Do I have to say any hail Marys?  Or do I have to slap myself with a skein of nasty acrylic?  Either way, here I am.

Knitting wise, I’ve been a complete and utter slacker.  I’m going through my anti-knitting phase, I guess.  I still have all those projects in progress, but I haven’t really had the desire to work on them.

The whole house thing has got me down, of course, but I’ve caught the sewing bug again as well.  Mein Klumpen and I have been sewing and sewing and sewing on her RennFest wear.  (And some for me and TSM, as well.)  We’ve finished a skirt, a chemise, a waist cincher/belt thing, most of a long pirate coat, and other things.  Klumpen has finished quite a bit of it herself.  She did her pirate shirt all on her own.

Unfortunately, the majority of stuff is still on the “in progress” or “planned” list.  We’ve got corsets, bodices and cloaks to make yet.  Not to mention my Flemish outfit.

Toward that end, I splurged (and I do mean splurged) the other day and bought (ordered) a new sewing machine.  This will bring to four the number of machines I own.  First there’s the Singer Featherweight that is tucked away in its original case, then there’s the cheapy Simplicity Celebrity, then the Singer Scholastic 6550 (workhorse!) and, now, finally, the Bernina Artista 185QEE.  I’m hoping the Bernina will be here by this weekend, but it will probably be more like next weekend.  Yes, it’s more machine than I need, but I can’t wait to get my hands on it.

By the way, what in the name of common sense are the people of DC thinking in voting Marion Barry into office again?  Honestly.  Are they all smoking crack with him?
