Wednesday Watery and Weary
I’m still tired, and my legs ache like mad, but my week is getting better.
I got my shipment of Easter Candy from Sarris Candies, which is a guaranteed way to make me smile. We used to have these candies (especially the one pound coconut egg) for Easter when I was little, and for the longest time I searched for something similar. Then one day last year, I found their website, and saw that they did on-line ordering. Whoo Hoo! I had to put the eggs in the freezer, though, or I’d eat them before Easter got here.
I also ordered tickets for The Corrs at Wolf Trap for August, so my summer music schedule is filling up nicely.
I spent a little bit of time this morning looking for a yarn for the Empire Waist Cardigan I mentioned yesterday. I don’t particularly like cotton blend yarns, so I want something with a little more elasticity. But, I don’t want to give up the drape of the Classic Elite Attitude, which is a cotton/silk blend.
So, I think I may have to actually go to a real live yarn shop and get some ideas for a good substitution from a professional.
This morning on my way to work, I was stuck behind a large truck, which was driving, um, erratically up I-95. When I finally found an opening to pass it, I saw the reason. The woman behind the wheel (you’ll notice I didn’t say driving) was holding her StarcrackTM coffee in one hand, and picking at a zit on her chin with the other. And they wonder why there are so many accidents. At least she wasn’t on the phone, too.
And with that lovely mental vision, I’m off to bed.
