I’ve resigned myself. . .
. . to the fact that I can’t post from work. What a nuisance. But I guess it’s a good thing, because I’ve got a lot of work to catch up on from Monday and Tuesday. And, nuisance #2, OPM has decreed that if you were off, you had to take leave for the whole day. No credit for the three hours that they closed the government. Grr.
My street still has not been plowed. Which, according to the VDOT website, should not be the case. According to them, it should have been plowed at the least by yesterday evening. Apparently they don’t even read their own press releases.
This morning, after a two hour delay, my daughter’s bus got stuck in the snow on our street. Because they hadn’t plowed! And what makes it worse is that her bus driver lives on the street behind us. She should have known that the street was impassable. The good news is that no one was injured, and the didn’t slide off the road and smash anyone else’s car.
So far today, no knitting has been done, but I plan to work on the Lace Scarf once I post this entry. I worked on it last night, and got about 1/2 of a 24 row pattern repeat done. I didn’t work on it today at lunch, because I was just too darn tired. I ended up taking a good 45 minute nap at my lunch hour.
Nuisance #3 is that TOH’s job still totally sucks. Yesterday he got to work before 8:30, and still didn’t make it home before 7:00 p.m. And today he was home long enough to drop off TSM and takeout food and head back to work. If he’s lucky, he’ll be home before midnight. But I’m not going to hold my breath.
