New Home
So, here I am in my new space. I’m still adding bits and pieces here and there, but for the most part, this is it. :) Much like moving into a new house, you spend the first few weeks/months moving a lamp here, a table there; I’ll be fine tuning the links, info, etc.
Today is a snow day. Which means as a government worker, I took “liberal leave”. It’s 11:40, and my street still hasn’t been plowed by the state or county. One of our neighbors with a plow on the front of his truck gave it a swipe, but it’s not something I want to drive on right now. My car weighs next to nothing, and slides at the slightest provocation. Back in 2002 (or maybe it was 2001) I slid off the road on my way to work in front of a Denny’s in Alexandria and mangled it badly. Not something I want to repeat. So, erring on the side of caution, here I sit in my jammies.
Since I’m staying home today, and I’m finally happy (more or less) with the layout of the new digs, I’ll finally get to some knitting. I plan to finish the shawl that’s at the top of my list of PIPs.
