Oh, how scintillating.
Not a lot has been going on here worth blogging about. I’m still working on the un-named project, and still plan to be done with it by the end of the weekend.
On Tuesday night, Klumpen’s friend came over and I helped her restart her hat, using a pattern from Cherry Tree Hill Yarn. Her cats had gotten to what she’d finished before and it needed to be redone.
We also found a simple pattern for a knitted bunny she wants to make. I pointed her towards the one at HeartStrings FiberArts in the free pattern section.
Once she went home, Klumpen and I worked on her knitting for a bit. She had me show her how to knit in the round on dpns. She wants to make the leg warmers from The Knit Stitch.
As quickly as she is picking up knitting, she’ll be making socks on her own in no time. I’m very tickled.
I recently purchased some more Opal yarn. Carodan Farm is clearing out all their older stock of Opal, and is selling it at 4 skeins for $40. I ordered it on Monday; it shipped on Tuesday; and I received it on Wednesday. That’s what I call quick and excellent service.
I got a brown/orange crocodile, a navy/multicolor crocodile, a pink jacquard and a green something or other. One of these days I’ll actually knit it up.
So, that’s the story here. The no-show snow didn’t happen, and it’s frigid cold here, so I’m going to head for bed.
