Well, that was a waste of time.

Two things.  My husband’s job sucks.  My husband rocks.

Explanations.  My husband, who works as a computer weinie (his term, not mine) for a large healthcare organization here in NoVa, had no weekend to speak of due to his sucky job.  He worked all day Thursday, all night Thursday night, all day Friday – getting home around midnight, and all day Saturday – again, getting home around midnight.  Exhaustion kept him in bed until about 2:00 Sunday afternoon.  So much for a weekend.

But, he rocks, because as sucky as his job is, and as tired as he was, he managed to find me some more white chocolate Reese’s cups.  I found them in my car this morning as I was driving to work.

While I was home doing the single mother thing, at which I really stink, I did work on some knitting.  I have a project about 60% finished, and if I keep up a good pace, I can have it finished by the end of the weekend.  This is the project that’s come up and pushed everything else to the back burner.  But, it’s an enjoyable project nonetheless, so it’s not killing me to work on this, rather than something else.

I have another project I’ll be adding to my list shortly.  I will be knitting something for an exchange gift for a friend, but it’s not due until April 30th, so I have some time to roll ideas around before I decide.

Anyway, it’s Monday and the state of the world depresses me, so I’m going to get back to shuffling paper and avoiding thinking about it.
