Only 2.5 hours to go.
Considering it took me well over an hour to drive home last night (that’s an average of about 10 miles an hour for those of you keeping track), I arrived home in a pretty good mood. Although, truck drivers with mirrored mud-flaps piss me off.
It’s amazing how many rows of plain stockinette stitch you can finish on a sock when you are stopped dead on I-95. I had brought the sock with me to work on during the shuttle ride from my office to our Headquarters yesterday, but didn’t need it for that. However, it came in awfully handy during the long drive home.
Today, on the other hand, it took me only 20 minutes from driveway to desk. That’s my kind of commute.
I have only 4 hours to put in here at the office, and then it’s home to bake cookies with my kids. 
That’s one holiday tradition I enjoy.
Klumpen has been working overtime as Elf #27, wrapping everyone’s gifts except the ones she’s receiving. It’s been a huge help to me, and is muchly appreciated. Of course, she is working off her debt to me that she used to buy presents for all her friends. But, still, it’s a wonderful thing for her to do for me.
