Now I remember why I married this man.
Have I mentioned how much my husband rocks lately? Well, he does. I’m sitting here in the comfort of my “comfy chair”, complete with “soft cushions”, typing this entry on my early Christmas present. A way cool laptop, complete with wireless networking. No longer do I have to freeze my toes off in the basement while typing in my entries and uploading photos.
Not only has he bought me a cool new toy, he cooks, cleans and does laundry, too. He was a deft hand at changing diapers when the kids were babies, too. I’m really fortunate that I found “the right one” the first time around; while many of my friends and even relatives are on their second and even third marriage or relationship.
Today is Thanksgiving, and we’ve had our fill of turkey and stuffing. Klumpen is a little depressed that we don’t spend it with more of our extended family. I guess I never thought of it from her point of view. We’re not particularly close with our families, and the ones we do like live too far away to make frequent visits. So, I guess I need to make a little more effort to talk to my family, whether I like them or not.
I’ve been knitting betwen naps today, and have a small sock nearly finished. I have also done several more rows on the shawl for my Mom’s friend. It’s been a wonderfully relaxing day.
Tomorrow it’s back to work, but it shouldn’t be too bad, since most people in my office are taking the day off. Traffic should be easy going as well.
