Monday and I want to play hooky
Monday, and the weather is gorgeous. I wish I had the day off, but I’m here at the office.
Which is amazingly quiet, because I think everyone else took the day off.
This weekend saw knitting and napping and scanning. I made good progress on my SSCEP, and have about 1/4 of it finished now. I think I’ll make my self imposed deadline of the 15th. I also worked on Klumpen’s “Tiger Eye” lace sock and finshed the foot. I’m starting the heel soon, but it’s worked backwards from what I normally do, so I need some peace and quiet for that.
I also had two lovely naps this weekend, with the windows open, and the breeze blowing. I love those kinds of naps. It feels more like spring than fall here.
TOH and I finally broke down and bought ourselves a new mattress set. Hopefully they’ll be delivering it tomorrow. And hopefully, it will help me sleep better. Our old mattress is killing me.
And finally, I spent a couple of hours scanning in old photos yesterday. I was scanning some of the kids when they were smaller, as well as some of me in my younger days, and a lot of the various cakes I’ve made. Tonight is a clean the bedroom and work on the SSCEP night once I get home. Only 75 more minutes to go.
