A rare political comment

I’m not a political writer. I tend to keep my opinions mostly to myself. But Pandionna has such a good way with words, and expresses many things I think, or opens my eyes to other possibilities, that I have to tell you all to go and read her stuff.

Today’s entry really makes you think. I’m paraphrasing the comments I left for her. I have a love/hate relationship with these types of her entries. I love the fact that she is so good at wirting about the problems with this administration, and it makes me want to read more, learn more and do more. But, on the other hand, I hate seeing how far down this country is sinking under Bush and his cronies. The 04 election can’t come quickly enough. But, will it be too late by then anyway? These men and their mismanagement of our government are frightening.

On a lighter note, I took Klumpen to the Specialty Program expo-type thing last night. This is where all the local highschools with specialty programs come out and set up booths and hawk their school. The upside is that she found many things she’s interested in. The downside is that she found many things she’s interested in. She has until February to get her applications in, so she’s got some time to decide. She’ll probably apply for all the ones that interest her, and then decide once she gets acceptance. The new high school, which is actually the one our house is zoned for, has an Environmental Sciences program that interests her, too.

Well, that’s about all I’ve got today. No knitting, because we were out last night, and I was too tired today at lunch. Tonight, TOH is taking TSM to a friend’s birthday party after dinner, so I hope to work on my SSCEP.
