Monday and I’m not even homicidal yet.

So, it’s Monday. Just over 24 hours to my nervous breakdown.

Actually, I feel pretty good today. I stayed late here Friday to make sure that all my data entry got completed, and tried to catch up everything else as well.

Today is problem day, and I’m trying to compile a final list of problems to send forward. But, of course, the financial system locked up on me yet again. However, I really don’t care. And, the kicker is, there is no one available to reset my user acess. How could you let the two only people who perform this task be off on the same day? At the end of the fiscal year when more people are using the system than ever? Morons.

I got extra sleep this morning, because I got none last night. I called my boss and told him I’d be in when I woke up, and went back to bed. It was lovely. I slept for nearly 3 hours and then was able to make it here by 11:00.

This weekend was fairly busy. After working late on Friday, Saturday was something of a blur until late in the evening. I was trying to shake off the groggy feelings, and the headache that had been plaguing me since last Monday. Didn’t work, but no matter.

When I finally did roll out of bed, I spent most of the evening working on “Greenwich”. I finished the back, and the pocket linings, and am now about 1/3 of the way through the front left piece. I love how the slanted pocket looks.

Yesterday we went to the Maryland Renaissance Festival. The girls all went in costume, and had a fantastic time. K wore her fairy outfit, and Klumpen her Druid-ish outfit. They couldn’t go more than 20 feet without someone asking to take their picture. TSM had fantastic time playing all the games, especially since they involved crossbows, knives, throwing stars, darts and a regular bow and arrow. All the things he can’t do at home.

We plan to go back next week, and I’ll join the girls in costume. I bought a chemise and corset, and need to just make a skirt. It was a little strange having a gentleman help me find a corset that fit properly, but I found one I liked at a reasonable price. And one that’s not going to create a “table” of cleavage. I can be buxom with the best of them, but let’s not get ridiculous.

I did take a sock to knit while I was wandering around the Fest yesterday, and got several compliments on it from all sorts of people.

Anyway….back to waiting for those wonderful co-workers of mine to reset my access and let me get back to work.
