Sanity Break
Ok, I have officially gone insane, and am taking a five or so minute break to try to reclaim my sanity.
End of the fiscal year madness consumes me here at the office. I have too much to do, not enough time, and not enough money. Or rather, money in all the wrong places.
On top of that, I’m supposed to be rewriting my position description. Like I’ve got time.
Anyay….sanity, we were talking about sanity. Knitting is normally a good cure for my insanity, but lately it’s been the opposite. I’ve been working on the Opal toe-up sock for what seems like forever. And I can’t finish it. I’ve redone the bind off three times now, and each time has been too tight to get onto my leg. This is definitely enough to turn me off of toe-up socks. I tried again last night, using the tip from the Socknitters page, but even that didn’t work. I’m very frustrated with it, and somewhat tempted to rip the whole thing out and go for a top down sock instead.
But, on the good side, I have made three scrunchies for Klumpen’s ponytails. She’s been wearing the pixie ponytails lately, and wanted some different scrunchies to wear. I’m making them in matching pairs, and so far have a pair and a half finished. The finished pair is made with Cherry Tree Hill yarn in the “Northern Lights” colorway. The half finished pair, what I like to call the Zebra pair, is done with a Fortissima Colori sock yarn in black and white. I’m going to try to finish the mate for that one when I get home this evening.
But, if I don’t get back to what I was doing, I won’t make it home at all, so that’s the end of this ramble.
