Ok. I’m sorry I said my week sucked. Can we stop the torture now?

Well, I obviously cursed myself whining about how bad my morning was yesterday, because today was twice as bad. My normal 30 minute commute stretched to an ungodly hour and a half! That’s about 8 miles an hour people! Get your heads out of your collective asses, and drive responsibly. Most of my delay was caused by morons who can’t drive, and had a multi-car pile-up less than a mile from my exit. These people were responsible for shutting 3 lanes of heavy traffic down to one. People like this need to be kept off the roads. Or at least made to wear warning signs, so the other drivers can stay away from them.

Whew. Sorry about the rant. It was a long morning.

Last night’s Randy Newman concert was good, but I felt like it was basically a repeat of the concert we saw a couple of years ago. A lot of the songs were the same, and most of his between songs patter was the same. He told the same story about Joe Cocker and “Leave Your Hat On” and the same story about his music for “Toy Story”. This is a man with a wide catalog of songs to choose from, but most of them were the same ones we’d already heard live previously. I enjoyed myself, but I’m not sure that I’d go again.

I do like going to the Birchmere, though, because it’s a “dinner theater” type place. You can order dinner, and eat while you wait for the show to start, and the waiters and waitresses keep serving all through the show. And they serve a mean Cheese Cake.

No knitting got done last night, and none so far today. I’m actually trying to catch up on the backlog from yesterday, and didn’t bring any with me. Of course, I’m living off Spear-o-mint lifesavers and have the world’s biggest sugar rush, so maybe I’ll even make progress today!
