Did someone mention a hurricane?
So, it’s the weekend. And my Mom is in town. Can you say Eeyore complex? I can. We always joke that every-time she comes to visit, it starts to rain.
I ended up totally frogging the “Cascading Hearts” shawl yesterday. I had restarted it 3 times, and couldn’t get the stitch count right. I guess I didn’t have enough concentration for it.
So, away it went, and I started the Pacific Northwest Shawl for my Mom’s friend. I’m already up to about row 49 I think. It’s going very quickly and smoothly; I think it’s easier to knit it the second time around.
I have also been working on Klumpen’s Tiger Eye socks. I finally got the size right. I should have stuck with the original 51 stitches as called for in the pattern in the first place.
We got a new scanner yesterday, and I’ve been scanning in my UFO’s.
The DC area forecasters are all “worried” about Isabel. It’s not like we need anymore rain. But until this thing decides where it’s going to hit, I think they should stop hyping the crap out of it.
