No knitting, some crafting
Hmmm…work avoidance.
I know, I’m supposed to be the responsible adult. I don’t want to. So there.
I’ve got stuff to do, but the stupid financial system crashed yet again. So that’s got to wait until tomorrow. It’s not worth calling the help desk 40 minutes before I leave when it’ll be up and running again by the time I get here tomorrow.
I got no knitting done yesterday. I did go to the craft store and the fabric store in search of the right accessories to go with faire costumes, though. Klumpen and K decided that they needed leaves and bells and beads and shells. They painted the leaves bronze. Which actually looks really cool.
I also got no sewing done. We spent over an hour and a half at the craft and fabric stores, so by the time we got home, all I wanted to do was sit in my comfy chair and play Pokemon. I did pick out the stitch that I’m going to use to topstitch on her dress, but that’s it.
Oh, and I seasoned the spaghetti sauce. I’m feeling so productive. Not.
I did some calculations today - more work avoidance - and figured out that the yarn shop nearest to me is at least 30 mintues away. And that’s on a good traffic day. On average, of all the shops in what’s considered Northern Virginia, my drive to any one of them would be about 45 minutes. Again, that’s on a good traffic day. Is it any wonder that I’d rather buy off the internet? Ppppfffftttt.
Well, it’s about time for me to hit the road and brave the Mixing Bowl again.
