Liar, Liar! Pants on Fire!
Ok, so I lied. I didn’t block out the shawl last night. I was just too tired. And it’s not much better today. I’m counting the hours until lunchtime when I can take a nap. Pretty pathetic, actually. Do I get cookies and milk after I take my nap?
I did work some more on my latest sock, though. I have now completed the heel and am working on the gusset decreases.
I also cast on for the Cascading Hearts shawl that I mentioned yesterday. I have about five rows done, I think. It starts off with a garter band, and then stitches are picked up along the edges and increased until the shawl is finished. I have the garter band done, and the five rows after it.
But then TOH reminded me that I’d said I was trying to get projects off the needles, not start new ones. So I set that aside, and worked on the alpaca raglan that’s been sitting forever. I did about a row and a half before I got tired of it.
Mostly last night, I just played Mario. And I am playing Super Mario 2, not 3 as I’d previously mentioned.
My car is at the dealer’s today, getting its 30,000-mile tune up and once over. I have a smelly rental car. It has definitely been used as an ashtray. It smells, and it’s sticky. I went to the ladies’ room and washed my hands as soon as I got to the office because it felt so gross. I can’t wait to get my car back. Ick.
No handmade socks today. I’m wearing the cat & mouse socks a friend of mine bought for me.
