Some knitting and more pictures
Again, I don’t have a lot to say today. I’m still plugging along on the KKS, finishing up the edging and hem. I have two more rows to go before I start doing decreases. I’m still on track to finish it by the end of this weekend, so that’s still a good thing.
Yesterday was knitting filled day all the way around. When I got home from work, I found a box in the doorway containing this:

It’s yarn from a friend who is de-stashing in preparation for a move. A bunch of us bought yarn from her, because she knew it would go to “a good home”. I love the vivid colors, and need to buy work clothes to match.
Unlike the work clothes I’m wearing today, which match the socks pictured here:

They’re black and gray stripes, in case the color in the picture is all wrong. While conservative enough to wear with work stuff, they’re really boring. And I’m getting tired of boring clothes. But, I’m too lazy to go shopping to do anything about it, so I guess I’m stuck with the boring stuff.
Also in yesterday’s mail was the latest copy of Interweave Knits. I like the cover sweaters, and a few other things, none of which come to mind at the moment.
The other knitting related item in yesterday’s mail was the latest edition of Cast On. I flipped through it, but can’t really remember what’s in it. I think there was something in it that I liked, but can’t be sure.
Either way, there was lots of good knitting related mail waiting for me after work, which always makes my day better.
Unfortunately, this morning got off to a rough start. There was a serious accident on I-95 near the house, and I woke up to the sound of all the local news helicopters hovering over my bedroom. I called my boss and told him that the roads were totally screwed (not in those exact words) and that I was going back to bed and I’d be in before noon.
That’s the story for the day, and now it’s back to work.
