Sleeping and Music. A good way to spend my weekend.
Yet another weekend went by without my knitting a stitch. I did, however, play with my new sewing machine. Friday night, I just fiddled with it, seeing what all the settings can do, and amazed myself with the One Step Buttonhole and automatic threading again.
On Saturday, I worked on a quick Norah Jones at Wolftrap. I’d ordered the tickets even before she won the Grammy, but we still got last row in the pavillion seats. It was an excellent show, even though we were freezing to death. I was wearing a heavy sweater, but I still sent B up to the merchandise booth at intermission for a blanket! The opening act was Gillian Welch, who was more bluegrass than blues, but still good. Anyway, Norah was amazing; sultry and sexy and funny and just all around entertaining. Definite seduction music.
I think I slept through Sunday, but I did read more of The War of the Flowers. I have about 60 more pages to go. It’s been a great read, and I don’t want it to end, even though I can’t wait to find out what happens. Now, I’m going to work on that baby sweater that I’ve been neglecting.
