How to make insomnia productive.

So, insomnia can actually be a good thing. Not really, but since I couldn’t get back to sleep last night between 2:00 am and 4:00 am, I decided to put it to good use. I worked on the “Lucy Lu” sweater that I’m doing in Colinette Wigwam yarn. I am about 3 rows from doing the armhole shaping now. It’s puttering along nicely.

I also picked up a book and started reading last night before I went to bed. I’m working on Tad WilliamsThe War of the Flowers. In the first 50 pages, he loses his unborn child, his girlfriend, his mother and his job. It sounds pretty depressing, but things get much more interesting after that. If you’re a fantasy reader, I’d definitely recommend it, or any of his other books, even though I’ve only read the first 150 pages so far. I’ve read all of his other work, and enjoyed every one of them.

I finally heard from my Doctor’s office on the sleep study results. I do have definite Restless Leg Syndrome. However, the medications I’ve been trying should treat it. Since they haven’t been working, my next step is to see a neurologist. We’ll see what happens from there.

Now I’m off to work on that baby sweater that’s been languishing for months now.
