I’ve released my Inner Domestic Goddess…
…And now it’s time to shove her back in her cage.
We’re having company tonight, so I released my inner domestic goddess (TSM asks me if I feel like a goddess when I shave, since I use a pink “Venus” razor. ‘Of course, TSM, I feel incredible!’) last night, and pre-made a lasagne. I also helped clean, and even managed to squeeze in some knitting.
Friends of ours from our time in Germany, who we’ve maintained sporadic mail and phone contact with, are in town, and are stopping by this evening. The last time we saw the whole family was in late 1991, and they’ve grown by 1/3 since then. In ‘91, they had two daughters and now they have four. Klumpen and A1, their oldest daughter, are about 2 weeks apart in age, so we spent a lot of time together. A2 (all their daughter’s names start with A), was just an infant when we last saw her, and now there are two younger girls as well. I believe their ages are 13, 12, 10 and 9. I can’t wait to see everyone again, and meet the youngest two.
Knitting wise, I finished the second sleeve of the baby cardigan and started on the hood. I don’t think I’m going to have this finished by Friday, but I’m trying.
Today, I’ve got a dentist appointment to put on the permanent crown, and I’m still waiting to hear from the doctor’s office about my sleep study.
Don’t I lead such an exciting life? Muwhahahahaha!
