Boy, I’m sure glad it’s a three day weekend.
Hmm, no entry for yesterday. I was getting ready to tell all about my shopping expedition to the local A.C. Moore craft store, when TOH called to tell me that traffic REALLY sucked, and I should leave the office immediately if I wanted to get home yesterday, rather than today. So I did. Had I left the office at my regular time, I would probably still be sitting on I-95 South, waiting for traffic to move. At 4:30 yesterday afternoon, traffice was at a virtual standstill from the 14th Street Bridge in DC to Quantico, a distance of 37 miles. I love DC traffic - NOT!
So, I went to A.C. Moore yesterday. I needed darning needles. I was helping my co-worker, C, finish a baby blanket she was making for our other co-worker. C hadn’t crocheted in about 27 years, and got off to a rough start. So, we’d been working on it together, and once she’d gotten back into the rhythm of it, she just flew getting it done. All that was left yesterday was to darn in the ends. Hence, the trip to the craft store.
Well, I found the darning needles, but I also purchased a glass jar to replace my plastic candy jar on my desk, a black felt poster for L to color that she’d been eyeing in Michael’s, a 3D Ducky cake pan for L’s birthday cake, two really cool looking candles shaped like eggs that will glow from the inside when burned, three skeins of Bernat Boa in “Ostrich” a black, white and grey blend, three skeins of Sirdar Snuggly Domino in hot pink, two mill end packs of Lion Homespun, a set of Crystal Light (?) needles, an embroidery kit for a makeup bag, a magnet, more stitch markers, and probably something else that I can’t think of at the moment. I had a good time. LOL!
Today, TSM and I are headed to the library. He’s been bugging the daylights out of me every time we pass by it, so I promised that we’d head there today.
Tomorrow, I’ll try to post some new pictures, since I’ve got that nifty new camera.
