Back in the saddle again

So, I’m back among the living, yet again.  Thanks to everyone who left comments wishing me well in my sleep issues.  :)  The new drug worked a little too well over the past few days, and I’ve been recuperating from it.  I think I woke up sometime around 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, and have been groggy since.

I have done a little bit of knitting, but not very much.  I finished the baby socks and matching hat for my friend’s baby-to-be.  I plan to work on the cardigan this weekend.  In between outings.  I also received the yarn I’m planning on using for the shawl my Mom requested for her friend.  I think that was Tuesday?  I’m not sure at all.  When I purchased that, I also purchased a laceweight merino in a deep claret red to make myself another shawl.  The question is which one and when am I going to get around to it?

My list of want-to-do projects is getting longer by the minute, but my finished list isn’t getting any shorter.

Tomorrow we are scheduled to go to the Virginia Gold Cup.  One of B’s coworkers is the Stablemaster, and provides us with passes.  Klumpen is a horse fanatic, and loves to visit the stables.

I had been planning on going to the Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival, but Klumpen and everyone else would rather go to the Gold Cup.  So, it’s off to the races we go.

On Sunday, I’m taking Klumpen, her friend Kyle and her “boyfriend” James to see Good Charlotte at the Patriot Center.  It should be an interesting night.

Today at work, one of my co-workers brought in quesadillas, chips & salsa for everyone for lunch.  So rather than hide in my office, I sat in our conference room and enjoyed myself.  It always gets pretty rowdy when we’re all together.

Now, it’s back to work, to try to lower the piles of paper on my desk.
