Here we go again.
Well, here we are, another Monday. I brought TSM to the office with me for part of the day, because he didn’t want to go to daycare. Today is his last day of spring break, so I came in late and just let him come with me. Fortunately, the office is nearly empty and he has the run of our suite. Everyone here is wonderful and seem to enjoy seeing him. He brings enough things to keep himself busy, but he likes to visit with everyone as well.Klumpen is at home, enjoying her only day of solitude on spring break, because TSM stayed home all week with her. She got paid well for watching him, but she’s certainly glad to get him out of her hair today.
As I was sitting down sometime yesterday, reading the pattern I’d bought for the friend’s baby sweater, I realized I bought the wrong weight of yarn. I bought a lovely fingering weight yarn, and I needed a DK. So, either I find a pattern to use the fingering weight yarn; buy some DK weight yarn for the pattern I have; or go back and swap the yarn for the right weight.
I’ll probably end up buying the new yarn and finding a different pattern for the yarn I already have. Or maybe I have something in stash that will work.
I spent my morning yesterday steam cleaning the living room carpet. Two of the cats got into a fight, and one decided to retaliate by peeing in the corner. Time to break out the cayenne pepper. Aversion therapy for cats. Sprinkle the cayenne where ever you don’t want the cats, and after the first sniff, they’ll usually stay away.
I also finished TSM’s first sock. That’s moving right along. As soon as the pair is done, I’ll be casting on for the baby gifts I’ve been planning.
I’m also searching for a softer substitue for Henry’s Attic Monty. Something not too expensive, but still quality.
