More Worries
So, I don’t really have much to say today. We found out yesterday that my brother-in-law (TOH’s younger brother) is being sent to Kuwait tomorrow. He has a wife and two young daughters. I’m terrified for him.
As if this war wasn’t already frightening enough, it’s now that much more personal.
In lighter news, we got a piano yesterday. A friend’s sister is moving and had no room for her piano, and sold it to us at a ridiculously low price. It’s an old upright, and it sounds wonderful. No one in the family plays, but Klumpen and I both read music, and TSM loves instruments of any kind. TOH is looking for a guitar teacher, so we’re now going to add piano teacher to that search. I can play the melody line of the first half of “Do-Re-Mi” from The Sound of Music, but I totally forget anything else I ever learned.
And, it’s snowing. On the next-to-last day of March. Big, fat chunky flakes of snow. It’s not sticking to pavement, but it makes me feel cold.
