Spring, Springy, Springier – Not Springer

Yesterday seemed to have been a day for finishing things.  The contractors have
finally finished the major work in the bathroom, and have only little bits to do today.  I expect to be able to luxuriate in my new tub tonight.

We also finished our taxes and have them ready to mail out.  Even though we haven’t had to pay in years, I still hate the process.  It just pains me.  It’s such (and I’d actually typed suck, which kinda sums it up) a complicated and tedious task.

I finished C’s first sock yesterday, and cast on for the second immediately after.  I did the ribbing and started on the leg, since I had a good momentum going.  Of course, now it will languish for weeks, since I mentioned how good it was going.

I also worked on the Sheep Shawl some more last night while watching Stargate SG-1, and have only seven lace points of the edging left to go.  There are eighteen points along each edge. I’ve finished the first edge, the center point of the shawl, and eleven points on the second edge so far.  Once I finish that, I’ll be doing the i-cord edging on the top.  That goes pretty quickly, so I think I may be able to finish the whole thing by this weekend if I stay focused.  (Stay focused, man, tuna & bread.)

So, all in all, I’m feeling pretty darn good today.  The weather’s gorgeous; I don’t feel exhausted; and the daffodils along I-95 are blooming.  Spring is coming and it’s about time.
