Better days ahead

So, I was feeling pretty down in my last entry, but I think I’m feeling better today.  I’m still worried, but it’s not the all-consuming worry that was present last week.

I think I finally got caught up on sleep, and I feel more awake than I have for a while.  I’m still tired, of course, but I don’t feel so weighted down with fatigue that my brain won’t function.

I finally took a picture of the grey tank top that I finished recently.  I washed it and blocked it, and it fits even better than it did orginally.

I haven’t taken a picture of Klumpen’s sweater yet, because I think it’s still buried in her dirty laundry.  I refuse to go and get her laundry from her room, so she usually ends up waiting until all her clothes are dirty before taking them to the laundry room.

I also finally finished the pink and white baby blanket that had been hanging around forever.  I was just getting tired of seeing it in the unfinished pile, so I made the extra effort to get it done.  Now to wash it, take a picture of it, and send it off to Project Linus.

While I was finishing the blanket, I showed Klumpen’s friend K how to bind off.  She’s a beginning knitter and has been working on a garter stitch scarf off and on for quite some time now.  Her Mom used to knit, so she has another source for answers, but it tickles me to no end that she asks me.

I even did something for myself this weekend.  I got my hair cut and highlighted.  It’s been at least 4 months since I’ve seen the inside of the hair salon, so this was a spring treat.  While I was sitting there, waiting for the dye to set, I worked on my sister’s sock.  I have started on the toe decrease, so I should be able to finish it today on my lunch hour.

And last, I worked on my exchange gift while we watched part of the Oscar broadcast last night.  I’m nearly 2/3 of the way done with it now.  This is such a soothing pattern to work on; so I hope that the recipient finds it just as soothing to use the gift.  Unless the apocalypse happens tomorrow, I’ll definitely have this done by the deadline.

Now, on to what I hope is a productive work week.
