Waking up after a long winter
I’ve wasted away my lunch hour reading various diaries today, instead of knitting. Not that the diaries in question are a waste of time; just that they weren’t in the plan. And now I can’t remember which ones I read. I read several that I’d followed banners to, and then others from notes or profiles or references in other diaries.
I did work on my exchange gift again last night, and I’m pleased to say that I’m now officially 1/2 way finished with it. It’s a very soothing pattern to knit, because it’s very repetitive and easily memorized. Which, considering the state of my brain, is a good thing.
With the help of the new meds, and the spring-like weather, I’m slowly starting to feel more like myself again, rather than a fogged out zombie. I’m actually accomplishing things on my desk, and with the help of a co-worker, gotten a handle on a major project that had been looking like Mandarin Chinese to me.
On the news front, the yokel on the tractor, has finally surrendered. Now maybe we can get down to the “real” business of panicking at the “Orange-Plus” security threat level.
I love living so near the Capitol.
