Summarization
I’m Lazy & I Summarize
Well, I’m lazy today. I was going to go back and put in entries for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday separately, but I just don’t feel like it.So, I’ll summarize. I don’t even remember Monday. Klumpen had Girl Scouts, and I think I did some knitting then, but I can’t really be sure. It’s bad when your memory goes at only 34, isn’t it?
Tuesday night, we had Klumpen’s band concert at school, and I took the alpaca raglan to work on. Afterwards, she comes up to me and says, “Mom, you just Had to knit, didn’t you?” What can I say? It’s an addiction. I think I managed to get about 3 or 4 rounds done. Once we got home from that, I spent a little time swatching the cashmere for my scarf. I just can’t quite get a pattern or gauge that I like right now.
Last night, Wednesday night, I actually sat down and did some concentrated knitting. I restarted the cashmere scarf yet again. I’m trying the feather and fan pattern this time, so I’ll do a few inches before I decided.
I also did another round or two on the alpaca raglan. I got the alpaca at Stitches East 2002 from Ellen’s 1/2 Pint Farm in a gorgeous natural shade of deep charcoal grey.
Then I had to rip out and totally restart B’s gloves. I had planned on using the size 2 needles, but discovered that I’d done the ribbing in the 2.5’s instead. So the gauge was completely off. What a PITA*! So, I rewound and then reknit about 1 inch of the cuff.
After that, I worked on the PNS shawl again. I’m working the edging now, and have 2 of the first 15 shells done. I’m really amazed at how it is turning out, and I can’t wait to see it finally blocked.
