You know you live in a geek household when you utter the phrase, “Honey, the network is down” before 7:00 a.m. while still in your pajamas.

Honey, I’m Ho-ome!

I see that Tag-Board is down today. Oh, well, I’ll see if it comes back eventually. If not, I guess I’ll be doing some html editing later.Well, the trip to NYC was wonderful. :) We had such a good time with everyone there, and it was good to get away from home for a weekend. But, on the other hand, it was great to get home, too.

On Friday, I flew up and caught a cab from LaGuardia to meet T at her office. From there, we went to the St. Regis to meet all the other knitters for tea. But, we were early, so we had a quick detour to the huge Disney store across the street. Three levels of Disney is just a little too much even for me.

Once we got to the St. Regis, we found that we were expected, and somewhat infamous. K had made the reservations for us, and the Hostess asked if we were “The Knitters”. Little by little, we all trickled in. We had a wonderful time! The tea and service was lovely, as usual. And of course, there was much passing around of finished products; showing off of hand-knit socks; and KIP at the tables.

After tea, some of us headed down to Rockefeller Center to see the tree and the ice rink. And while there, we were offered passes for the taping of the Donahue show, with guest Barbara Walters. M asked the first question, and there is a great shot of T and I right after the video clip of Gilda Radner doing her Baba Wawa skit on SNL.

After a ride on the trains back to K’s apartment (where the kind young man asked to make sure the 4 white women were on the right train), we sat around and did some knitting and show and tell of what we all had with us.
